Tuesday, July 10th started off as a great day for pain and numbness. I worked my neck pretty good on Monday with rehab, so I was hopeful on Tuesday. I had very little tingling in two of my fingers most of the day and a little numbness in my forearm. My left triceps does ache every now and then as well. Forgot to mention that in the past.
Around noon my index finger and middle finger started to ache and it feels like a stinging sensation. Almost like burning, it really hurts. I was struggling to grab things and tying my shoes is almost unbearable to wrap the laces around my fingers. Flossing my teeth felt like I was jabbing needles into my fingers. I was pretty bummed but kept a great attitude about it all. I figure it is part of the healing process, it will go away.
Getting to sleep last night was a bugger too. Reading along with a lot of prayer definitely helps put my mind at ease and gets me thinking about other things than my injury. Unwavering faith and hope is where my mind needs to be. Ended up with a decent nights sleep and had some crazy dreams again. Feel really good this morning physically and mentally. The sharp pain in my fingers is much less today than yesterday so that is good.
Nutritionally on Tuesday I cheated a little for lunch. I had some sweet potato fries. Not what I would normally eat, however I was throwing myself a pity party and went for it. I made up for it the rest of the day though. That was the only carb/sugar that I ate all day so my carb intake wasn’t too bad. I think the vegetable oil that they are cooked in is worse for you than the sweet potato’s themselves. Be better if they were baked in coconut oil. I didn’t do a great job on my “Eat Right for My Blood Type” plan.
Today’s plan for meals is much healthier!
Started today with my journaling, gratitude, affirmations & visualizations. Been starting some meditation now as well. My morning routine is pretty awesome, I really enjoy my time in the morning. Meditation is really interesting, I am not very good at it, however I know I will get better as I practice. Writing this blog helps me as well, I hope it helps you too. Heading down to my home gym to work my back and mobility, then off to conquer the day and make as big a positive impact as I can in the lives of as many people as I can so that they are inspired to dream big, take action, and do more and be more.
Reminder and the key things to focus on for a happier healthier life:
- Pray
- Journal
- Own your nutrition, you deserve to look and feel your very best
- Live in the present, not the past or future
- Exercise daily
- Have Gratitude for what you do have in your life
- Meditate, breathe!
- Give your time & talents to others
- Always do the right thing and you will not have to apologize for anything.
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to follow my journey.
To your health and abundance,
